NHS Dentist

We're accepting NHS patients subject to capacity

If you are interested, please contact our reception on 0161 3302419 for latest updates or to add your name on our waiting list. Our waiting list is based on our monthly allocated NHS capacity.

We provide NHS dentistry subject to capacity and available funding from NHS (Units of Dental Activity). All treatment is available on the NHS ( to protect and maintain the health of your mouth, teeth and gums). Treatment that is purely cosmetic is available privately. Ask your dentist how much this will cost.

NHS treatment is free for patients:

  • Under 18
  • 18 and in full-time education
  • Pregnant
  • Have or had a baby in the 12 months before treatment starts,
  • Income Support
  • Income-based job seeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit; or
  • NHS tax credit exemption certificate
  • HC2 certificate

Depending on what you need to have done, you will be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment. You will not be charged for individual items within the course of treatment.

  • Band 1 course of treatment – £23.80
Covers an examination, X-rays and scale and polish if needed
  • Band 2 course of treatment – £65.20
Covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth.
  • Band 3 course of treatment – £282.80
Covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus dentistry involving laboratory work.

If you join our dental practice for the first time you will receive an examination or assessment by our dentist. This is classed as a band 1 course of NHS charge (£23.80).

Inform your dentist during your check up if you are a nervous patient and have a fear or anxiety about your dental treatment.

Our team will always support you and will explain all stages of your NHS treatment.

Our dentists will provide you full oral examination including your teeth and gums. We will discuss your general health. Our dentist will ask and give you advice on smoking, oral hygiene, diet and alcohol consumption.

Your dentist will inform you about our recall polices based on good practice and NHS requirement. This is based on your current dental status.
